EDI 820 DTS Payment Order/remittance Advice |
This transaction set can be used to make a payment, send a remittance advice, or make a payment and send a remittance advice. This transaction set can be an order to a financial institution to make a payment to a payee. It can also be a remittance advice identifying the detail needed to perform cash applications to the payee's accounts receivable system. The remittance advice can go directly from payer to payee, through a financial institution, or through a third party agent. |

This is a specification of an approval process for formal PIDX deliverables such as API Recommended Practices and Endorsements. There are basically four steps in the life cycle of a specification going through this process: 1)Proposal; 2)Draft Specification; 3)Candidate Specification; and 4)Approved Specification. At each step this process attempts to provide a framework for balancing the often conflicting requirements of generating an effective solution and getting the work done in an efficient and timely manner. |
